Description

OHMYGOD, MY FIRST DD. Thank you soo much WhiteKimahri for suggesting and Syrilla for featuring! This is just dream come true!!1

This here is another character from my story, M'bala Utumva, filthy rich slave trader, renown for her naval tradings, fastest and widest in the world.

Whilst the mighty of this world waged wars, destroyed elven race, hunted merfolk and burnt the forests of Coven - across all the southern lands grew the plaguing authority of Begast. White City built on bones and blood has always been a rotten spot where slavery bloomed, ranks and seats in the council were inherited among richest families. On the streets one could easily find any wonder or horror imaginable, whores, jimsonweed, illegal fights, poisons and never ending tradehouses and black markets. From the facade city looked suspiciously pristine, yet soon one can notice the lack of any living things aside from humans, no greenery or pets on the streets, no seagulls or rats in the docs. Burning sun mirrored from white stones in the days and cold winds wormed their way into the bones at night.
Begast is a city inhabited by slaves, even those who don't wear chains and shackles are bound by its dirt and corruption, unable to leave for their good. The men are horrified of each other and most of all they fear the Snake Mistress
Mbala Utumva, unannounced ruler of the White City holds in her hands the mighty naval trading force of Begast, only her ships deliver blooded wood of Keltcig, the thinnest cloth from Handjan, her ships are so fast that a flowers blooming on the sunrise in Siresht arrive in her docs before dawn, yet her main trade is slaves. Giants respect her might and leave her the best of their breeds, the strongest and most good looking, so Mbala sells them at the highest price. Mejana(begast's dialect - mistress)Utumva is richer then the Emperor himself. Decades ago her father was the captain of the most renown and feared caper ship throughout all three seas, he left his daughter treasure of gold able to feed cities for centuries, and she multiplied it by thousand. Rumors say, that her mother was a Dalarian witch, and under Umbala's enormous hat her third eye is hidden along with the snake tails instead of hair threads.
People say that she can look into the future and predict the outcomes of all her deals and trades, yet this does not seem likely. People tend to think that a woman can't reach power and wealth without magical help. Twice in my life I have seen her and even talked to her once. The sheer power of her character and her calculating eyes told me just as much.
Utumva is a worthy opponent and I anxiously await the moment when we'll clash in the power struggle again.
From the diaries of an Assasin, volume 17.

This picture caught my eye from the start.
By their colors: the woman in the middle, imposing, with gold colors, highlighting. It don't leave you indifferent, at least of this enormous and elegant hat.
For its topic: I would say exotic. A lady with a touch of evil (see the snake), who is not even pay attention to its treasure of jewels and of course not deign to look at their slaves. And she is in the sea. Why? Is she looking for more treasures? She do not have enough, she is ambitious? An enigma that colors the picture of that, of mystery.
Although the big question that I pose to see the picture is: what is the women looking? The sea? His next victim, maybe a ship loaded with gold? She's looking at an insolent slave? Or looking at us as warning us that despite being a picture is powerful? She is challenges us?

I love this picture.
